BEST of the BEST 2016 at The National Gallery Victoria

BEST of the BEST 2016

Table design by some of Australia's leading designers

I am very excited to be attending The Best of the Best 2016 at the National Gallery Victoria in Melbourne this coming Thursday!

Best of the Best is an exhibition of high glamour and inspirational style, taking the concept of table art to a new dimension. From the whimsical to the Avante Garde, the tables will be conceived and created by some of Australia’s leading artists, decorators, galleries, interior designers, stylists, couturiers and florists, limited only by their imaginations.
Previously held at St Kilda Town Hall in 2013, Best of the Best 2016 is installed at the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Victoria.
All funds raised will be contributed directly towards the acquisition of artworks for the NGV. Best of the Best 2013 contributed towards the purchase of John Longstaff’s “The Young Mother” (1891).

2016 Best of the Best exhibitors include:

AFL • Atticus & Milo • Steve Cordony for Belle Magazine • Brownlow Interior Design • Burch&Purchese Sweet Studio • Charlotte Coote for Coote & Co • Christian Wagstaff for CPS • Christine Barro • Christopher Boots Studio • Dale Hardiman for NGV • David Hicks • Diane Bergeron (The Mercer School) • Fenton & Fenton • Flack Studio & Marsha Golemac • Flowers Vasette • Franque • Georgeous  • Georgie Seccull • Gewürzhaus Herb & Spice Merchants • Gregory Ladner • Hill of Content • Hotham Street Ladies • Jud Wimhurst for MARS Gallery • Julia deVille • Louis Vuitton • Mark Douglass Design • Megan Hess for Wedgwood • Melissa Jackson Milliner & Stasia Raft • Michael Strownix / Where The Grass is Green • Minimax • Mud Australia • Paul Bangay for Elliott Clarke • Peony Melbourne Haute Parfumerie • Peter Rowland Catering • Russell&George • Sarah Scout Presents • Shareen Joel & Tarryn Joyce • Tessa Blazey & Alexi Freeman for Karen Woodbury Gallery • The Australian Ballet • Turner and Lane •

  2. Hi Jenny. Like Pammie looking forward to your post on this exhibition. I was wondering if I could ask a question: We're in Bowral for the first week of July (school holidays). We wanted to visit old fern brook farm which you featured recently. How do we arrange a visit? It looks wonderful. We're of course going to the Donald Bradman museum but would appreciate any tips about where to eat & go. Insiders tips are always so much better than trip adviser and the likes. Thanks so much Den xxx

  3. Sounds wonderful Jenny, looking forward to hearing about it. Have just reread your inspirational blog on arthritis, I have had a sore right foot for years and on Easter Monday I suffered my first ever flare up. I could not believe the pain. It kept me upstairs for three days. Quite a few episodes since then and only just settled down. Hated losing my independence as I couldn't drive. I am keeping a food diary, I haven't drunk wine for years and I eat lots of veggies already, I see that it will be a process of elimination. Thank you again, Sue xx

    1. Dear Sue

I'm so sorry to hear this... I do hope you get to the bottom of this... Could it possibly be gout? Please email me if you have any questions. With love, Jenny

  4. These are really popular places in the city for private events for corporations like us. It can be hard to find the right lofty spaces for big events. The right size, that is flexible fits well. Thanks to you.
